Owner Joe Tipene has been a mechanic for more than 40 years, beginning his apprenticeship in Moerewa in the 1980s before returning to establish Moerewa Motors in 2001. Since then, we’ve supported generations of workers through apprenticeships, training, and local employment.

We’re committed to giving back — from mentoring youth through the MITO Apprenticeship and Bay of Islands College Gateway Programme to supporting community events, schools, and non-profits. We also lease land at a discounted rate to the Moerewa Community Recycling Centre, helping local whānau recycle for free.
